Carol’s Weekly Wrap 19/11/22
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and the winner was Gary Dowdell with 38pts r/up was Michael Welbourn with 36pts. Michael started off on the 1st and had a miss, the 2nd he had a miss then on the 3rd he had a 1, YES Michael had a hole in one on the 3rd, it was his 1st hole in one and everyone could hear the roar of excitement. This meant he also got the NTP. We welcomed visitors from Sawtell Golf Club and Armidale Golf Club. The orange ball went to Dickie Schalk.
Thursday the Vets played a single stableford and the winner was John Mitchell with 38pts, r/up with 36pts was Paul Ketley. NTP was Noelene Porter on the 6th.
Saturday we played The Guzzlers Mug sponsored by Geoff Wood, and the winner with a great score of 67 was Jason Brady on a c/b from Geoff Wood (as the sponsor can’t win his own trophy) next in line was Kaleb Doran with 69 on a c/b from Darrell Carson. The NTP’s on 3rd Carol Shields, 9th Kim Burraston, 11th Tim Bower and the 15th was Jen Izzard. The mars bar went to Brandon Thrift. We welcomed a visitor from Eden Fisherman’s Recreation Club. The members also wish Jason Brady a very Happy 30th Birthday, enjoy your night Jason.
The Uralla Open is fast approaching so be quick to get your names in. On Friday 25th November is the Veteran’s Open Singles, entries to be emailed to Mike Petrov on lone.petrov@gmail.com
Saturday 26th November is the Open Mixed 4BBB Par and entries to be emailed to urallagolfcomps@gmail.com If anyone is looking for a partner please let us know as we have 5 male players looking for a partner.
Sunday 27th November is he Open Men’s 4BBB Stableford and entries to be emailed as per email above for the mixed event.
We have a raffle running which will be drawn on Sunday 27th after the men’s open. These prizes have been greatly donated by Ryan Kelso from Kelso Services. 1st prize is a Golf GPS, 2nd prize is a golf bag and umbrella. Tickets are $2.00 each or 3 for $5.00 and are available at the bar.
As of the 1st December our green fees will be increased to $25.00. We will also be starting a Hole in One competition on all Par 3’s; $1.00 will be put in from the green fees to build up the prize money for the “Hole in One”
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
