Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 14/03/2021
Robbie Porter is once again the Uralla Golf Club Champion. Robbie won a couple of years ago and returned to claim the major title again this year. Charlie Murray was second. Peter Richardson won the B Grade title and Tony Park took C grade.
Vicki Barraclough again won the ladies Championship defeating Carol Shields and in Division 2 Marl Chappell won from Delphine Faulkner. Vicki and Marj were also the respective grade veteran’s champions.

Once again a good field hit off on Wednesday and Darrell Carson kept up the good form from the weekend to return 38 points and claim the major prize after a countback from last week’s winner Dom Bower. Ryan Kelso was 3rd with 37.
Only a small field of Veterans braved the weather on Thursday and Ian Duncan won after a 4 way countback with Mike Petrov, Jim Walkinshaw and Les Forde. Marj Chappell was the best of the ladies.
In Saturday’s stroke Peter Doyle won the day with a nett 67 from Aaron Whackett 68 and Tony Duff 69. On Sunday K Mart Northern returned to form with a nett 66 as did Shane Barraclough, 69 and Mitchell Hiscox had 71 to claim 3rd spot.
Congratulations to all the winners throughout the championships. Next Saturday it is a Medley 4BBB for the Deb Douglas trophy.
