Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 13/09/2020
Our best Wednesday field ever played last week and Gailes visitor, (although since Covid-19 has become a regular) Ian Bohn had 42 points to be a clear winner from herb McMillan, 38 and the Little Pecker himself (Sparra Taggart) next best with 37. Herb also won the NTP and Tiger Clutterbuck will play with the orange ball next week.
Thursday vets golf was washed out as we received some badly needed rain.
Neil Bullen was the sponsor for an individual stableford last Saturday and once again a very good field hit off, including several visitors from around the northern part of the state. It is good to see the course being used a lot more.
Bruce (The Gnome) with 36 points was the winner after a three way countback with Duncan McLean and Troy Dawson (Bundarra)
NTP winners were RAB 3rd Darrell Carson, NAB 6th and Bridges Finance 17th Crewy Cameron, and Jon Izzard both the 11th and the Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th.
Sunday saw a club sponsored 4BBB medley and the local pairing of Aaron Whackett and Todd Jacobs won the day with 45 points. I don’t have any further details but it was great day weather wise and the day was enjoyed by all who played.
The installation of the new watering begins in earnest this week so please be patient with the workers on the course and give them plenty of space. All work is to be treated as GUR.
