Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 01/11/2020
Once again a good field turned up to play on Wednesday. Welcome home to John (The Cocky Hater) Holman. John has had some health issues over the past 5 months or so and it is good to see both he and wife Vicki back at golf. John did manage 30 points which I am sure he would have been happy with after such a long break.
The winner of the day was Ian Bohn, Gailes Golf Club, with 36 points but only after a countback with Bruce the Gnome. Next best was Coffs Harbour visitor, Jeff Porter with 35.
The Thursday vets had a small field hit off and the inclement weather saw them all fail to finish so no official competition was held.
Saturday was the October Guzzler’s Mug sponsored by Geoff Wood and a good field hit off. K-Mart Northam was the winner with 65 nett. Well done K-Mart good to see a return to form and I am sure the 77 off the stick is your best score for quite a while. Marj Chappell too second place with a nett 69 and Dactyl Carlon claimed third spot with 70 nett after a countback with Kim Burraston. Sally Burraston claimed the mars bar.
NTP winners were, RAB 3rd Dactyl Carlon, NAB 6th Wayne Mackaway (Maclean), Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th K-Mart and Margaret Macready the Bridges Finance 17th.
