Carol’s Weekly Wrap 25/6/23
This will be my last report till the end of July, as we are having a wee little break. There will be some golf results on Facebook (if you have it) during my absence. Catch you all when we are back.
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and he winner with 38pts was Mick McIlveen, r/up was Robbie Porter with 36pts. The orange ball went Murray Kennedy. We welcomed visitors from Armidale and Walcha Golf Clubs.
Thursday Vets played a single stableford and the winner was Ian Duncan with 35pts on a c/b from Carole Peacock.
Saturday was the Guzzlers Mug sponsored by Geoff Wood and the winner of the day was Garreth Nichols from Safety Beach Golf Club with 70, as Garreth isn’t a club member he couldn’t take the mug. So, the winner of the mug on a c/b was Tom Bower on a c/b from Darrell Carson. As we had a good field today we had 3 Mars Bar Awards to give out, the ladies winner was Rhonda McIlveen, junior winner was Zavier Nichols from Safety Beach and the men’s winner was our Club Champion with a nett score of 85 was Shane “Moon” Barraclough. Must have been tough out there with not much run after the nice rain on Thursday.
The Board and Members would like to thank Darrell Carson and all the volunteers for helping out at the club these last few months if it wasn’t for these volunteers the club would not have survived. Thank you all. Also Ben “Toobie” Jones is settling in to his new position at the club, come out and meet him if you haven’t done already.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
THE KITCHEN WILL BE CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS FROM 8TH JULY TO 17TH JULY. THEN AS OF THE 18TH OF JULY THE KITCHEN WILL REOPEN FOR LUNCH & DINNER WITH A NEW FANTASTIC MENU ON TUESDAYS TO SUNDAYS. TAKEAWAYS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
