Carol’s Weekly Wrap 19/9/21

Keep up to date with all golfing restrictions that are still in place in your LGA on the Golf NSW website.

Please remember that wearing of face masks in all areas around and in the clubhouse is still mandatory, and as the clubhouse is now open before and after golf, please remember the one person per 4sqm inside and one person per 2sqm outside. Standing whilst drinking is allowed outside, but not inside the clubhouse.

Last Wednesday the Wednesday Wacker’s played a single stableford with a good field of 23, and the winner with 39 pts was Tim Bower, runner up on a three way c/b was Neil Free with 36 pts. NTP was Robbie Porter. We welcomed visitors from Tamworth Golf Club.

Thursday Vets played a single stableford and the winner was Michael Welbourne with 34 pts, runner up was Noelene Porter with 33 pts on a c/b from ‘The Mad Russian” Michael Petrov.

Saturday we played a single stableford sponsored by Freeza and The Gnome, we had a great field of 36 players, the winner of the day with 40pts was Ross Anderson, runner up was Jason Brady with 39pts.

NTP were Darrell Carson on the 3rd and 15th, Robbie Porter on the 11th, Geoff Wood on the 9th and Dactyl on the 17th.   The Mars Bar went to Aaron Whackett.  We welcomed visitors from Sawtell Golf Club and Sussex Inlet Golf Club. Hope to see you again soon.

There seemed to be a little confusion in the clubhouse on Saturday with the rules on how the Monthly Mug works? As Ross Anderson won the Monthly Mug at the beginning of the month, he has to ask a member to fill his mug (only once). He apparently asked a member to fill it for him, ONLY to be told that this member had already filled it the previous week. So Ross who didn’t get his mug filled from this member had to buy him a can of RUM. Just shows how quickly the mind forgets who has already filled your mug. Just a reminder it can cost you more if you forget J

There was no golf played Sunday as the greens were being cored.  A huge thank you to all the volunteers that turned up early to help with the raking, without you this would not have been achieved.

The raffles are back in full swing again on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.  Tickets on sale for Sunday are from 11.30am.

BREAKING NEWS:  THE CLUBHOUSE WILL NOW BE OPEN MONDAY TO THURSDAY FROM 4PM TILL 7PM. $5 SCHOONERS AND $4 MIDDIES AVAILABLE. UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

For those wishing to play golf, the tees off times are as below:
