Carol’s Weekly Wrap 16/5/2021
This is my first weekly wrap after taking over from our long time wrapper Darrell, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Darrell for the time and effort he has put in every week to get you these results. If I have missed anything in my first report, just let me know “gently”.
Last Wednesday the Wacker’s played on a beautiful autumn day with the winner on the day was
Richard Cannon with 36 points. Les “I’m in a hurry “Forde was sure he wasn’t going to miss out on coming runner up, as he won on a three way count back from Tony Park, Bruce McMullen.
There was no Thursday Vets this week that I know of.
Rodney Hargrave and Simon Wood sponsored a fourball stableford on Saturday which brought out the brave to battle it out in the freezing conditions we felt on this day. The winners with a score of 45 points were Anthony “shag” Connors and Duncan “the 2nd best player in Wilkens St” McLean followed closely by the president himself Darrell Carson and Murray Kennedy with 44 points, and coming in third with 43 points was Tim Beaumont and Gary Dowdell. I have to mention the mars bar went to The Cocky and the Cocky Hater, (i.e. John Holman and Ross Anderson).
NTP winners were Jason Brady on his own sponsored hole on the 9th, Tim Beaumont RAB 3rd, Dactyl Carlon Bridges Finance 17th.
Quote of the week: Letting the cat out of the bag is a whole lot easier than putting it back in.
