Carol’s Weekly Wrap 14/1/24
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 38pts was Tim Beaumont, r/up was Rowan Chandler with 37pts on a c/b from Gary Higginbottom. The orange ball went to Duncan Arthur.
Thursday Vets had a field of 25 players, and we played a single stableford and the winner with 38pts was Greg Constance from Glenn Innes, r/up was Mandy Stoddart with 36pts. The encouragement award went to Rhonda McIlveen.
The Vets Week of Golf will be on Monday 15th – 19th April, entries, and further details to come.
Saturday was a 3 person Ambrose sponsored by Owen & Julie Presnell and Simon Cross from Walcha. We had an amazing field of 48 players and the winners with 55.5 was Jash Clarke, Drew Bird and Brandon Thrift, r/up with 57.5 was Jon Izzard, Kayson Ketley and Ben Jones. The Mars Bar Award went to Karen & Paul Ketley and Tony Swilks.
Our Championships will be held on 9/10th and 16/17th March.
Our 2023 Open has been rescheduled, Men’s Open Saturday 23rd March, Mixed Open Sunday 24th March. Entries by email to urallagolfcomps@gmail.com, Please NOTE: all entries to be emailed to this address only. If you entered last year and can’t play on new dates, please email to inform us.
Twilight Golf will recommence on Tuesday 16th January. The monthly prizes will be given out this Friday night, so come out to see if your team is on the winners list.
Our new fees for 2024 are as follows:
Full Golfing Members $275.00
Country Members $110.00
Juniors $35.00
Social Golfers $27.50
All fees are due by the end of February, and if you haven’t received your renewal in the mail you can still pay at the bar to Ben. (Also, if anyone has changed their address, please let Ben know when paying).
The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.

On Saturday we had our oldest and youngest members at the club, Les Forde who is 96 and Finn Connors who is 8, that is 88yrs difference. Pretty amazing isn’t it.
