Carol’s Weekly Wrap 12/9/21

Well isn’t this a great feeling being out of LOCKDOWN. Thanks to everyone who followed the golfing restrictions we had in place for the last 5 weeks so we could continue playing golf.  Keep up to date with all golfing restrictions that are still in place in your LGA on the Golf NSW website.

Please remember that wearing of face masks in all areas around and in the clubhouse is still mandatory, and as the clubhouse is now open before and after golf, please remember the one person per 4sqm inside and one person per 2sqm outside. Standing whilst drinking is allowed outside, but not inside the clubhouse.

Last Wednesday the Wednesday Wacker’s played a single stableford with a good field of 21, and the winner with 39 pts was Robbie Porter, runner up was Neil “Splitty” Cullen with 36 pts.

Thursday Vets played a single stableford and the winner was John Mitchell with 35 pts, runner up was Noelene Porter with 33 pts. We also welcomed back “Little Pecker” Sparra Taggart after having a few months off for medical reasons, so glad you are on the recovery train Doug and swinging that club again.

Saturday we played a single stableford, we had a great field of 36 players, welcome back everyone. The winner of the day with 38pts was Sally Burraston, runner up was Graeme Andrews on a three way c/b with 36pts.  The Mars Bar went to “Little Pecker” Taggart.

Sunday we played our 9 hole comp, we had 17 players today.  The winner was our super vet “I’m in a hurry” Les Forde with 20 pts, well done Les.

The course must be playing easy with all these great scores during the week.

For those wishing to play golf on any of these days, the tees off times are as below:

Wednesday Wackers 9.30am for 10am tee off

Thursday Vets 9.30am for 10am tee off

Saturday 10am for 10.30 tee off

Sunday 9am to 11am 9 hole comp

Next Saturday 18th September event will be announced during the week.

Quote of the week:  Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think of you. J

Happy Golfing
