Carol’s Weekly Wrap 11/2/24
Wednesday the Whackers braved some wet conditions to play a single stableford and the winner with 34pts was Warwick Lindsay on a c/b from Les “I’m in a hurry” Forde. The orange ball went to Tony Duff with 19pts.
Thursday Vets played a single stableford and the winner with 39pts was Russell Evans from Armidale, r/up was Mandy Stoddart with 37pts. The encouragement award went to Rhonda McIlveen. We welcomed visitors from Armidale, Toronto and Glen Innes Golf Clubs. The next round of Pennants will be in Uralla on Thursday 15th February.
The Vets Week of Golf will be the15th – 19th April, entries are now open. The entry forms are available on Golf NSW website or at the bar at Uralla Golf Club. Please email completed forms to WOG@urallagolfclub.com.au or give to Chalkie.
Saturday was a BAM sponsored by Marj Chappell and family, the winners with 57 were Tim Beaumont and Tim Bower on a c/b from Scott Matthews and Nicholas Matthews. 3rd place went to Duncan “Slim” McLean and Carol Shields with 55pts. The Mars Bar Award went to Bruce “The Gnome” McMullen and Tony Duff.

I have received an email regarding that a Junior Golf Club has been found along Gostwick St. If one of the junior golfers is missing a club they can contact Phil by email (whitehouse.phil@gmail.com ) describe the club and he will return it to the owner.
Our Championships will be held on 9/10th and 16/17th March.
Our 2023 Open has been rescheduled, Men’s Open Saturday 23rd March, Mixed Open Sunday 24th March. Entries by email to urallagolfcomps@gmail.com, Please NOTE: all entries to be emailed to this address only. This is a new event so you will have to renominate by email.
Our new fees for 2024 are as follows:
Full Golfing Members $275.00
Country Members $110.00
Juniors $35.00
Social Golfers $27.50
Clubhouse FREE
All fees are due by the end of February, and if you haven’t received your renewal in the mail you can still pay at the bar to Ben. (Also, if anyone has changed their address, please let Ben know when paying).
The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
