Carol’s Weekly Wrap 10/9/23

Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and he winner with a score of 41pts was Wayne Brennan from Walcha Golf Club, r/up was Gary Higginbottom with 39pts. The orange ball went to Crewy Cameron after a draw as there were 4 players with the same score of 27pts.

Thursdays Vets played a single stableford and the winner with 36pts was Jack Mitchell on a c/b from Ian Duncan.  Rhonda McIlveen was the winner for Uralla at the Graham Betts final held at Guyra last Sunday.

Saturday was a single stableford and the winner was Jon Izzard with 39pts, r/up was Chalkie Chandler with 38pts. The Mars Bar went to Chris Pearce.

Good luck to all the men playing in the Central North Men’s District Championship today.

The Scramble event is on the 23rd of September, it’s a 4 person Ambrose so get your team together. Information regarding this event is on the notice board at club.

The Shootout is being held again this year, all stableford scores during Sept/Oct will go towards a field of 19 qualifiers for a final to be held on Sunday November 5th. Nomination fee is $20 payable to Ross Anderson. The sheet is on the notice board to put your name down.

Twilight will be starting again soon, so grab your teams and fill in the nomination form at the bar. There will be some great prizes up for grabs each month. The Major Sponsor with be The Uralla Golf Club.  Start date for this year is Tuesday 10th October. This is a great way to get into golf if you haven’t played or are wanting to come back to golf, put a team of 6 together and have some fun. All new players must become a social member for the small cost of $25.00 for the year. Application forms are on the notice board at club or just ask Ben for one.

It’s that time of year were Shaun is preparing the greens to be cored, this will take place straight after the Scramble. If your can spare an hour or two on the Sunday 24th September to assist in scrapping cores off the greens and other activities this would be greatly appreciated. Many hands means light work.

The kitchen is now in full swing with our new caterer and new menu.  If you haven’t tried the new menu you should come on out.  The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.

Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.

The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.

Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
