Proposed Amalgamation
Information statement for all members of the Uralla Golf Club
The proposed amalgamation with Armidale Services club.
To assist members please read the following statement from your current Board, who strongly recommend the proposal.
The Memorandum of Understanding is for a minimum period of ten years and the Golf Club will become part of the Services Club core property. Both these things guarantee the Golf Club with security going forward.
What this means is that no major changes (including sale of) can be made to the Golf Club without the Golf Club membership approval.
After the 10 year period major changes or sale of this core property cannot be made without the consent of the whole membership of the amalgamated entity.
Members should be aware that the special meeting on November 21st will not include a question and answer period. This meeting is strictly for voting purposes only. Members will be allowed to speak for and or against the motion.
