Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 13/12/2020
The Wednesday Wacker’s as is common these days, had a good field and Tony Park won the day with a solid 38 points. It must have been a day for the Tonys as Tony Duff took second place with 37. Graeme Andrews was third after a 4 way countback with, Jim Walkinshaw, Ross Anderson and Robbie Porter. Michael Welbourn will play with the Orange Ball next week.
What a difference a day makes, Wednesday’s last place getter claimed the winner’s trophy on Thursday with 37. This was only after a countback with John Mitchell, Ian Duncan and Judy Marshall. Les Forde won the NTP on the 15th.
A small field on Saturday was bought about by the cold, wet and windy weather, but a few brave souls did play and the Little Pecker Sparra Taggart won with a very solid 39 points. (Are you sure you only played 18 Doug). Kim Burraston was next best with 37 after a countback with dactyl Carlon. Les (I’m in a hurry) Forde had 35 to break his age AGAIN!
NTP winners were NAB 6th Jim Walkinshaw, and the Bridges 17th Dactyl Carlon.
This is the last week for Twilight before the holiday break. Play will resume towards the end of January. Don’t forget the big raffles next Sunday 20th at the club house. I understand the kitchen will be open so we hope to see plenty of people there.
Also on Saturday it is the final of the match play. Remember if you played in the original match play field, and regardless as to when you were eliminated, there is a six month membership up for grabs courtesy of Ross Anderson. Saturday is also the December Guzzlers Mug.
Quote of the week: “I never let my schooling interfere with my education.”
