Carol’s Weeklyy Wrap 3/2/24
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 40pts was Mike McIlveen, r/up was Greg Constance from Glen Innes on a 3way c/b from Warwick Lindsay and Jason Brady. The orange ball went to our new member Guy Walker.
Thursday Vets played a single stableford and the winner with 33pts was Scot McLoud on a c/b from Albert Egli. The Vets played the first round of pennants on Tuesday in Armidale in the hot weather after a huge downpour the day before. Team results are Armidale 264, Guyra 239, Glen Innes 229, Walcha 218 and Uralla 208. The next roubd will be in Uralla on Thursday 15th February.
The Vets Week of Golf will be the15th – 19th April, entries are now open. The entry forms are available on Golf NSW website or at the bar at Uralla Golf Club. Please email completed forms to WOG@urallagolfclub.com.au or give to Chalkie.
Saturday was a 4BBB sponsored by Duncan & Carol and the winners with a great score of 48pts was Greg & Myles LeMessurier, r/up were Charlie Murray and Guy Walker. We had visitors from East Maitland and Penrith golf clubs. The Mars Bar Award went to Marj Chappell and Mike Petrov.
I have received an email regarding that a Junior Golf Club has been found along Gostwick St. If one of the junior golfers is missing a club they can contact Phil by email (whitehouse.phil@gmail.com ) describe the club and he will return it to the owner.
AS WE ARE GETTING LARGER FIELDS NOW PLAYING, CAN WE PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE GOLF ETIQUETTE OF SLOW PLAY. KEEP UP TO THE GROUP IN FRONT, 3MIN LIMIT LOOKING FOR BALL, PLAY READY GOLF.
Our Championships will be held on 9/10th and 16/17th March.
Our 2023 Open has been rescheduled, Men’s Open Saturday 23rd March, Mixed Open Sunday 24th March. Entries by email to urallagolfcomps@gmail.com, Please NOTE: all entries to be emailed to this address only. This is a new event so you will have to renominate by email.
Our new fees for 2024 are as follows:
Full Golfing Members $275.00
Country Members $110.00
Juniors $35.00
Social Golfers $27.50
Clubhouse FREE
All fees are due by the end of February, and if you haven’t received your renewal in the mail you can still pay at the bar to Ben. (Also, if anyone has changed their address, please let Ben know when paying).
The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
