Carol’s Weekly Wrap 3/3/2024
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 40pts was Robbie Porter, r/up was Tim Beaumont with 39pts. The orange ball went to Les “I’m in a hurry” Forde.
Thursday Vets played a single stableford and the winner with 37pts was Jenny Lisle, r/up on a c/b with 33pts was Coleen Taggart from Carol Shields. The encouragement award went to Susie Spencer.
The Vets Week of Golf will be the15th – 19th April, entries are now closed as we have reached capacity. There will be a waiting list if there are withdrawals.
Saturday was a 4BBB sponsored by Deb Douglas and family, the winners with 43pts were Josh Clarke and Jack Doran. The r/up on a 4-way c/b with 41pts was Robbie Porter and Aaron Blach from Drew Bird and Dactyl Carlon from Warren Sellings and Grant Clark. The Mars Bar Award went to Karen and Paul Ketley.
Some players think that if something funny happens on course it stays on course!! Well that’s only if the reporter doesn’t see it, Duncan “Slim” McLean teed off on the 3rd and his ball hit the ladies tee sign and the ball ended up behind the 2nd hole bunkers. Allan McFarlane teed off on the 11th and his ball hit the ladies red pudding and his ball ended up over the fence on the road….

Our Championships will be held on 9/10th and 16/17th March.
Our 2023 Open has been rescheduled, Men’s Open Saturday 23rd March, Mixed Open Sunday 24th March. Entries by email to urallagolfcomps@gmail.com, Please NOTE: all entries to be emailed to this address only. This is a new event so you will have to renominate by email.
Our new fees for 2024 are as follows:
Full Golfing Members $275.00
Country Members $110.00
Juniors $35.00
Twilight Golfers $27.50
Clubhouse FREE
Just a reminder that all golf fees were due by end of February, if you are not a financial member by the 4th of March you are ineligible to play in any comps.
This also goes for Twilight players, if you’re not financial your team will be deducted the scores of the unfinancial player. I will put names in your folders tomorrow of who is not financial.
The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
