Carol’s Weekly Wrap 2/4/23
There was no golf on Wednesday due to the huge downpour we had.
Thursday the Vets played Pennants in Walcha and I must say it was tuff going as not many made scores in the 30’s. John Cummings won the men’s A-Grade with 34pts, Kerry Bull won the ladies with 33pts. Tim Beaumont from Uralla come r/up in A-grade men with 33pts. The next round of pennants will be in Guyra on Thursday 13th April, sheet is on the board in clubhouse to put your names down.
Saturday was a single stableford sponsored by Dactyl and Harley Carlon, the winner with 41pts was Pete Doyle r/up on a c/b was Shaun Northam from Shane Barraclough with 37pts. The Mars Bar Award went to Tod Jacobs.
The Vets Week of Golf is back again this year, Monday 23rd April – Friday 28th April. Flyers and entry forms are available at the club and on the website. Entries closing soon.
Our AGM will be held on Sunday 16th April at 10am, there are still some spots available to become a board member. Please put your name on the nomination sheet if you want to be on the board for this year. This is a great opportunity for someone who hasn’t sat on the board before.
The kitchen will be open on Good Friday for sit down or takeaway meals only. (There will be NO alcohol takeaways). Bookings required for lunch 12pm to 3pm and dinner 5pm to 8pm. Please call the club on 67784059 to book. Also if there are any volunteers that are available for an hour or so on Friday to help on the bar please contact Darrell.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
Kitchen is now open from Tuesday – Sunday.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.

Thursday Vets 9.30am for 10am tee off…………. $25.00 comp fees
Saturday 10am for 10.30 tee off……………………$25.00 comp fees
