Carol’s Weekly Wrap 28/11/21
Well there isn’t much golf to report this week, as the sky opened up for most of the week.
Wednesday the Wednesday Wacker’s played a single stableford and the winner with 40pts was Mick McILveen, runner up was Paul De Veer from Dorrigo Golf Club with 34pts. We welcomed visitors from Dorrigo, Bonville and McLean.
Our open weekend has been rescheduled for the 18th, 19th and 20th February 2022 due to the unfortunate weather. Thank you to those who turned up on Friday and tried to get out but unfortunately the weather had other ideas to keep on raining. Also thank you to those who stayed and had lunch and drinks to support the club. A huge thank you also to Steve and Donna from The Mobile Golf Shop for coming to support the club, and fitting out our members with new golfing supplies. Hope to see you again soon when the weather is nicer to us.
The raffles are back in full swing again on Friday nights and Sunday mornings. Tickets on sale from 6.30pm for Friday nights and for Sunday are from 11.30am.
We are in the process of updating our members’ database with mobile numbers and email addresses, if any of your details have changed. There are forms at the bar to fill in. We still have a few members who haven’t competed the form as yet, could you please do so on your next visit so we can complete the database.
THE CLUB HOUSE IS NOW OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK FROM 10AM TILL 8PM.

THE KITCHEN IS OPEN FOR LUNCH AND DINNER 6 DAYS A WEEK.
HAPPY HOUR TUEDAYS TO FRIDAY FROM 4PM – 6PM.
For those wishing to play golf, the tees off times are as below:
Wednesday Wackers 9.30am for 10am tee off
Thursday Vets 9.30am for 10am tee off
Saturday 10am for 10.30 tee off
Sunday 9 hole comp will take a break until after Christmas due to the Twilight Competition.
Next Saturday’s event will be announced during the week.
We have a few events happening next month (December), so please put these dates into your calendar. If I have missed any, I will mention next week.
Wednesday 1st December is the Wednesday Whackers cross country Christmas Party.
Thursday 9th December is the Vets Christmas Party, there is a sheet to put your names down which need to be advised by the 5th for catering purposes. Tee off will be 9 for 9.30 for this day only.
Saturday 11th December is the Volunteers and Members Christmas Party. Sheet is on notice board to put your names down for catering purposes.
Friday 17th December is last day of our twilight competition for the year, recommencing 18th January 2022.
Sunday 19th December is the clubs Christmas Raffles. There will be lots of Hams, Turkeys and Pork up for grabs.
