Carol’s Weekly Wrap 27/11/22
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and the winner was Murray Kennedy with 45pts, r/up was James Walkinshaw with 39pts on a 4 way c/b from Chalkie Chandler, Peter Schultz from Armidale and Geoff Clutterbuck also from Armidale. The orange ball went to Dickie Schalk again for the 2nd week in a row.
This weekend we held our Open Weekend. Thank you to all the players and sponsors.
Friday was the Vets Open Day and the men’s winner was Warren Sellings with 44pts, r/up was Michael Welbourne with 41pts. The ladies winner was Dianne Shadlow with 39pts on a 4 way c/b from Noelene Porter, Karen Ketley, Coleen Taggart and Jenny Lisle. NTPs Men’s 3rd Geoff Wood, 6th Peter Hall, 9th Steve Johnston, 11th Shane Barraclough, 15th Peter Hall, 17th John Smith. Ladies 3rd Jane Dell, 9th Karen Ketley, 15th Coleen Taggart, 17th Karen Ketley.
Saturday was the Uralla & Central North Open 4BBB Par and the winners were Donna Reeves and Jon Izzard on a c/b from Margaret Davidson and Owen Presnell with +11. Congratulations to all the NTP’s (too many to mention). Scratch winners were Tim Murray and Judy Hansen, r/up were Craig Hyde and Jane Dell. Encouragement award went to Barry Cameron and Coleen Taggart from Uralla.
Sunday was the Men’s Open 4BBB Par and we had 122 players. The winners were Jack Doran and Josh Clark with +12, r/up were Colin Wadleigh and Luke Birmingham with +11. Scratch winners were Tim Murray and Mathew Bull, r/up scratch was John Schumann and Gary Elks, 2nd r/up scratch were Craig Hyde and Trevor Carson. NTP’s 3rd Anthony Williams, 6th and 9th Josh Clark, 11th Gary Emery, 15th Byron Whackett, 17th Trevor Hazelwood. Encouragement award went to Desmond Gunn and Brendan McNamara from Tamworth.
Next Friday 2nd December at 3pm Frazier Wittig will be at the golf club if anyone needs their cart serviced or looked at for any mechanical repairs. Please contact Darrell Carson for further information.
As of the 1st December our green fees will be increased to $25.00. We will also be starting a Hole in One competition on all Par 3’s; $1.00 will be put in from the green fees to build up the prize money for the “Hole in One”
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.

Next Weekend will be the Guzzlers Mug and the Match Play Final. This could change.
