Carol’s Weekly Wrap 26/11/23
Wednesday the Whackers were washed out with some much need rain.
Friday was the Vets Open Day with over 90 players hitting the course. The winner in A-Grade was Bruce McMullen with 41pts, r/up was Rowan Chandler with 36pts. Grade winner was Michael Welbourn with 39pts, r/up was Jon Cumming with 34pts from Guyra. C- Grade winner was Paul Redden with 37pts from Guyra, r/up was Peter Houlahan from Bingara. The ladies A-Grade winner was Kerry Bull with 35pts from Guyra, r/up was Vicki Barraclough with 33pts. B-Grade winners was Mary Hyde with 34pts from Armidale on a c/b from Deli Faulkner.
Saturdays Men’s Open had to be postponed due to the heavy rain we received overnight and during the day. Sundays Mixed Open also had to be postponed due to essential energy power outage for the whole day. We will be looking at dates to hold both together in early 2024. So please keep an eye out for new dates.
The Shootout final to be held on Sunday 10th December.
A huge thank you to all the members who turned out on Tuesday night to have your vote in the amalgamation with the Servies Club. It was a huge success and now we look forward to exciting new adventures for the Golf Club.
A few SAVE the DATE events coming up: Saturday 9th December will be the Volunteers night to say thank you to all volunteers that help during the year. Sunday 17th December will be the Monster Christmas Raffles.
The kitchen is now in full swing with our new caterer and new menu. If you haven’t tried the new menu you should come on out. The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
