Carol’s Weekly Wrap 22/2/26
Tuesday we played our Pennants round at Guyra, and we had a few Uralla members on the winners list, B-Grade was Duncan “slim” McLean with 38pts, and C-Grade was Scot McLeod with 39pts. Well done boys at least you knew which hole you were heading to when teeing off, one of our members got up on the tee and thought he was going to the hole he was facing, but apparently it was the opposite direction from where he teed off. We know Guyra is a tuff course but come on Greg LeMessurier you won’t do that again will you. The playing partners were in stitches will laughter and won’t forget that one in a hurry.
Wednesday Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 40pts was Greg LeMessurier, R/up was Barry “Crewy Cameron with 38pts on a c/b from Dean Vickery. The encouragement award went to Bruce McMullen, “apparently Bruce has never won the Mars Bar before in his whole golfing career”. See there is a first time for everything.
Sunday was a single stableford and the winner with 39pts was Peter Doyle, r/up was Shane “Moon” Barraclough. The Mars Bar Award went to Marj Chappell.
Save the date: Saturday 28th February is our presentation night, there is a sheet up on the notice board to place your names for catering purposes.
The sheet is up on the board for our Championships which will be held on 7th/8th and 14th/15th March.
Cart shed fees are also due by 31st March, please Ben for new form to fill when paying.
Thursday nights the kitchen does a curry night with different dishes each week. You can also order of the menu if you don’t want curries.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday and Saturday Comps. All our golf times are 9.30am for 10am tee off. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
AS WE ARE HAVING MORE PLAYERS AND SOCIAL PLAYERS ON OUR COURSE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE A SAND BUCKET WITH YOU AND FILL IN ANY DIVOTS ON THE FAIWAYS AND FIX PLUG MARKS ON THE GREENS. ALSO, IF YOU ARE A SOCIAL PLAYER, PLEASE PLAY OFF THE BLUE MARKERS.
The Kitchen is open 7 days a week, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pickups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club house is now open 7 days a week.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday afternoon. Joker Jackpot is on Friday night.
