Carol’s Weekly Wrap 21/4/24
Well, what a week of golf we have had, and we couldn’t have been happier with the weather holding off everyday until we finished.
Monday was a 4 person Irish 4Ball, the winners with 90pts was Marj Chappell, Marg Macready, Noelene Porter, and Jack Mitchell. R/up with 88pts on a c/b was Mark & Deli Faulkner, Jon Izzard, and Neil Cullen from Coleen Taggart, Greg LeMessurier, Dot & Chris Rose. Apparently our Club Captain fell flat on his face getting back over the fence on the 11th after going across the road to look at a sign.?? Maybe ask him next time you see him about what really happened!!!!
Tuesday was day 1 of the 2-day event and the daily winners were Ladies A-Grade Carol Shields, r/up was Diane Boyd. B-Grade Dot Rose r/up was Lorraine Garlin. Men’s A-Grade winner was Glenn Bianco, r/up was Neil Cullen. B-Grade William Jordan, r/up Greg Constance.
Wednesday Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 38pts was Marlene McLeod, r/up was her husband Scot McLead with 37pts. The orange ball went to Duncan Arthur.
Thursday was the final round of the 2-day event and the daily winners were A-Grade ladies Ruth Iser, r/up was Elaine Stivey. B-Grade Yvonne Burnett r/up was Margaret Macready. Men’s A-Grade Chris Rose, r/up Bruce McMullen. B-Grade George Stephenson, r/up Phillip Lumby.
The 36-hole Winners were Ladies Denise Rickard from Muree with 71pts, r/up was Marj Chappell from Uralla with 68pts. Mem’s 36-hole winners were Michael Wills from Gosford with 78pts, r/up was Dickie Schalk from Uralla with 73pts.
Friday was a 2person Ambrose and the winners were Ladies Marj Chappell and Margaret Macready, men’s Dactyl Carlon and Tony Swilks. Medley winners were Denise & Glen Bianco, r/up were Shane & Vicki Barraclough.
For those who have Carts in the shed and haven’t yet paid, your fees are well overdue and need to be paid by the 1st of May, if you still haven’t paid by then, your cart will be removed from the shed for you to pick up. Fees as below:
Petrol Carts $250.00
Electric Carts $350.00

AS WE ARE GETTING LARGER FIELDS NOW PLAYING, CAN WE PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE GOLF ETIQUETTE OF SLOW PLAY. EG: KEEP UP TO THE GROUP IN FRONT, 3MIN LIMIT LOOKING FOR BALL, PLAY READY GOLF.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday Vets and Saturday Comps. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
