Carol’s Weekly Wrap 2/12/25
Wednesday Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 37pts was Murray Kennedy, r/up was Darrell Carson with 36pts, the encouragement award went to Henry Walters.
Friday was our Open Vets Day, and the winners were men’s A-Grade Doug McDonald with 40pts, r/up was Mark Lane with 39pts. B-Grade winner was Bill Fletcher with 40pts on a c/b from Phillip Devlin. Ladies A-Grade winner was Jenny Lisle with 37pts, r/up was Diane Shadlow. B-Grade winner was Carol Shields with 34pts on a c/b from Karen Ketley. Karen also won the special NTP on the 6th which was donated by Mary Hyde and Jane Dell in memory of their Mum Lilly Faulkner.
Saturday was our Open 4BBB Par and the winners were Jon Izzard and Donna Reeves with 12, r’s/up were Rowan Chandler and Susie Spencer with 9. Gross winners were Tim Murray and Judy Hansen, r’s/up were Craig Hyde and Jane Dell. Ian Taylor won the special NTP on the 6th which was donated by Mary Hyde and Jane Dell in memory of their Mum Lilly Faulkner. The Mars Bar Award went to Eric LeMessurier and Jacquie Morgan.
Sunday was our Open Men’s 4BBB Par and the winners were Will Archdale and Matt Jackson with 9, r’s/up were Oliver Crawford and Andrew Crawford with 8. Gross winners were Tim Murray and Geoff Clutterbuck, r/up were James Sharpe and Trevor Murray. The Mars Bare Award went to Keiran Darlington and Daniel Lott.
A huge thank you to our major sponsor Armidale Automotive Group and to all our members who helped over the last 3 days with carts, cards etc. Also a huge thankyou to all the helpers who helped on Thursday to clean up the course after the storm on Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday nights the kitchen does a curry night with different dishes each week. You can also order of the menu if you don’t want curries.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday and Saturday Comps. All our golf times are 9.30am for 10am tee off. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
AS WE ARE HAVING MORE PLAYERS AND SOCIAL PLAYERS ON OUR COURSE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE A SAND BUCKET WITH YOU AND FILL IN ANY DIVOTS ON THE FAIWAYS AND FIX PLUG MARKS ON THE GREENS. ALSO, IF YOU ARE A SOCIAL PLAYER, PLEASE PLAY OFF THE BLUE MARKERS.
The Kitchen is open 7 days a week, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pickups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club house is now open 7 days a week.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday afternoon. Joker Jackpot is on Friday night.
