Carol’s Weekly Wrap 14/8/22
Wednesday Whackers played a single stableford the winner was Neil “Splitty” Cullen with 35pts and runner up was “I’m in a hurry” Les Forde with 33pts on a c/b from Robbie Porter. The orange ball went to Lindsay Warwick. We welcomed visitors from Armidale. The course must have been a little hard for some players after the rain as we had 2 players who couldn’t even make the ladies tee on two occasions. Maybe next week Lindsay and Duncan should play off the ladies tees.
Thursday Vets had the Vets Open 4BBB and we had 48 players from all around the region. The winners with 44pts were Coleen Taggart and Noelene Porter on a c/b from Helene Dawson and Liz O’Hara from Armidale. Third place went to Paul & Karen Ketley with 43pts, fourth place went to “”The Mad Russian”’ Mike Petrov and Neil Cullen with 41pts, fifth place was John Mitchell and Susie Spenser with 39pts on a 3 way c/b from Murray Kennedy and Darrell Carson and Ross Anderson and Crewy Cameron.
Saturday was washed out. The event which was to be held was The Scramble, this event has now been postponed till Sunday 4th September. For those who have registered for this event, and can’t play on the new date and can’t find a replacement, can contact Jon Izzard at the club for more information.
Raffles are back onFriday nights and Sunday mornings.

Next Saturday 20th August is a single stableford event for the Captains Trophy.
