Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 17/05/2020
Robbie Porter continued his good form last Wednesday firing a one over par 71 to claim the major prize with 38 points. Robbie needed a strong countback to relegate Dom Bower to second spot. FTG Anderson was next best with 37. There must be something to be said for playing in two’s as the fields continue to maintain their good numbers.
The Thursday veterans also had their best field for a while last week and it was Michael Petrov with 37 points who was a runaway winner. The Little Pecker and Ian Duncan booth had 31 points to fill the minor placings.
Saturday saw a club trophy up for grabs and Mile Petrov showed Thursday was no fluke, this time having 40 points to win the day. Mike cannot make up his mind if he plays right or left handed is very consistent and surely the handicapper will get him this time. It was good to see Warren Sellings have a good score and claim second spot with 38. Warren has been struggling lately and it is good to see his perseverance pay off.
I should point out that Les (I’m in a hurry) Forde managed to break his age again on Saturday, this time firing a 91 off the stick. Les must be getting sick of achieving this wonderful effort. Even when he has a hundred off the stick Les never stops smiling.
