Carol’s Weekly Wrap 17/5/26
Wednesday Whackers played a single stableford and the winner with 40pts was Gary Evans, r/up was Les “I’m in a hurry” Forde with 38pts on a c/b from Dickie Schalk. Les shot 4 under his age this week, well done Les. The encouragement award went to Warrick Lindsay.
Thunderbolt’s Thirsty Thursday Medley played a single stableford and the winner with 39pts was Mandy Stoddart, r/up was Gary Evans with 36pts. The encouragement award went to Marj Chappell
Saturday was a 4BBB sponsored by Scott & Nick Matthews and the winners with 49pts were Marj Chappell and Margaret Macready, r/up with 48pts were Les “I’m in a hurry” Forde and Sally Burraston. The Mars Bar went to Ross Anderson and Crewy Cameron with 37pts.
Sunday was a 3-club challenge fun day sponsored by Scott Matthews and Dave Baylis and the winner with 40pts was Carol Shields r/up was Nick Matthews with 38pts, 3rd was Les Forde with 35pts on a c/b from Gavin Streliz. The Mars Bar went to Scott Matthews in the absence of Jason Brady. Just goes to show you by the scores that you don’t need all 12 clubs in your bag, (but it does help when you have to tee up through the green due to the very dry conditions)
Sunday 9-hole social golf is back and adults tee off 10-11am, juniors 11am. If you’re a regular golfer or just want to start out, come along and have relaxed round as you don’t need a handicap. Bring your friends, meet new players and just enjoy a friendly round. Cost is only $5 for the 9 holes.
Thursday nights the kitchen does a curry night with different dishes each week. You can also order of the menu if you don’t want curries.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday and Saturday Comps. All our golf times are 9.30am for 10am tee off. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
The Kitchen is open 7 days a week, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pickups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club house is now open 7 days a week.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday afternoon. Joker Jackpot is on Friday night.
