Carol’s Weekly Wrap 6/4/25
Last week was our Vets Week of Golf and unfortunately the rain gods had other plans for us. We only got to play 2 days out of the 4, this meant the 36hole event became a 18hole event and we held the Irish 4BBB on Monday.
Monday winners were Karen & Paul Ketley and Kath Guyer & Ross Spencer with 78. R/up were Cheryl & Doug McDonald and Col Berry & Simon Cross with76.
The Men’s A-Grade Vet winner was Steve Bishop with 38pts, r/up was Martin Berg with 37pts. The Ladies A-Grade Vet Winner was Jenny Lisle with 33pts, r/up was Marj Chappell with 30pts. Congratulations to you all.
The other winners on the day were A-Grade men’s was Jeffery Porter with 36pts, r/up was Gordon Newton with 35pts, 3rd was Michael Welboun with 34pts. Men’s B-grade was Geoffery Elliott with 33pts, r/up was Gordon Thomson with 32pts, 3rd was Paul Ketley with 31pts. C-Grade was Michal Petrov with 34pts, r/up was Phillip Lumby with 29pts, 3rd was Bill Downton with 28pts.
Ladies A-Grade winner was Julie Berg with 29pts, r/up was Vicki Barraclough with 29pts, 3rd was Sharon Carberry with 27pts. Grade was Beverly Nelmes with 28pts, r/up was Mandy Stoddard with 28pts, 3rd was Mag Whitby with 25pts. As you will see by some of the scores it was a tuff day on the very wet course. See you all again next year.
To all the golfers who have carts in the shed, your fees were due by the end of March. Petrol cost is $250 and Electric $350. Please see Ben to pay and fill in New Agreement for 2025. If you still want your cart in the shed you had better get in and pay before too soon.
Twilight golf has now come to an end. Our BBQ night will be held on Friday 11th April, please let us know by putting your names down on the sheet if you will be attending for catering purposes.
Thursday nights the kitchen does a curry night with different dishes each week. You can also order of the menu if you don’t want curries.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday and Saturday Comps. All our golf times are 9.30am for 10am tee off. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
AS WE ARE HAVING MORE PLAYERS AND SOCIAL PLAYERS ON OUR COURSE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE A SAND BUCKET WITH YOU AND FILL IN ANY DIVOTS ON THE FAIWAYS AND FIX PLUG MARKS ON THE GREENS. ALSO IF YOU ARE A SOCIAL PLAYER, PLEASE PLAY OFF THE BLUE MARKERS.
The Kitchen is now open 7 days a week, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pickups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club house is now open 7 days a week.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday afternoon. Joker Jackpot is on Friday night.
