Carol’s Weekly Wrap 3/9/23
Wednesday the Whackers played a single stableford and he winner with a great score of 45pts was Murray Kennedy, r/up was Owen Presnell on a c/b from Jason Brady with 37pts. The orange ball went Warwick Lindsay. We welcomed players from Walcha and Armidale.
Thursdays Vets played a single stableford and the winner with 36pts was Vicki Barraclough on a c/b from her sister Coleen Taggart. Good luck to the ladies playing in the Graham Betts final at Guyra today.
Saturday was a single stableford and the winner with another great score was Les “I’m in a hurry” Forde with 40pts. Well done shooting under his age again. R/up was Scott Matthews with 37pts. The Mars Bar Award went to Mark Zirkler. We welcomed visitors from Tamworth and Easts Leisure and Golf clubs.
The Scramble event is on the 23rd of September, it’s a 4 person Ambrose so get your team together. Information regarding this event is on the notice board at club.
Twilight will be starting again soon, so grab your teams and fill in the nomination form at the bar. There will be some great prizes up for grabs each month. The Major Sponsor with be The Uralla Golf Club. Start date for this year is Tuesday 10th October. This is a great way to get into golf if you haven’t played or are wanting to come back to golf, put a team of 6 together and have some fun. All new players must become a social member for the small cost of $25.00 for the year. Application forms are on the notice board at club or just ask Ben for one.
The kitchen is now in full swing with our new caterer and new menu. If you haven’t tried the new menu you should come on out. The Kitchen is open Tuesday – Sunday, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. No Sunday dinners, only lunch. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pick ups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club will be now open from 10am till late on Tuesdays to Sunday. Closed Mondays.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday mornings. Joker Jackpot is on Friday nights and the members draw is on Friday nights and Sunday mornings.
