A good field played on Wednesday and some good scores were returned with the best being Ross Anderson with 42. Tony Duff took second spot with 40 and trevor Carson third with 38. Bruce the Gnome won the NTP on the 3rd.
Neil Free who had held the green ball for the worst score felt cheated when his ordinary 25 points was bettered by Chickie Chappell having 24. This will see Chickie hit off with the new and improved ORANGE ball ball next week.
The Thursday vet’s also attracted a good field and once again the scores were pretty good. Tony (Popeye) Whiting won with 41 points from the consistent Albert Egli and the very consistent Ian Duncan both with 38. Ray Honnery and John Holman both had 36 whilst Holmen won the NTP on the 6th.
I should mention that Chickie Chappell did manage to go from last on Wednesday with 24 to a very respectable 35 on Thursday. What a difference a day makes.
Bryan McNamara, Gary Hamilton and Peter Dixon were the trophy donors for an individual stableford on Saturday and a beaut summer’s day saw a very good field hit off. Simon Wood had 76 off the stick to return 41 points. This meant Jon Izzard finished second with 40 but only after a countback with Neil Bullen. ( A par round)
The NTP winners were, RAB 3rd Simon Wood, RAB 6th Neil Bullen, 9th visitor Tony Cole, 11th and the Bridges Finance 17th both to the fellow who I cannot mention but to give you a clue he is a retired copper and lives out Wollomombi way. The Rob Brown denture clinic 15th went to the Cocky hater John Holman.
