Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 3rd February 2019

Welcome back to the Uralla Golf report after a month or so away. I hope you have all enjoyed your festive season and by now most of us are back into the grind of working life living.

The Wednesday Wacker’s played last week and it was Trevor (Fairweather) Wilson who took home the major prize. Trevor had 40 points to count out Gary Mackaway. Tony Duff was next best with 38 and he also claimed the NTP on the 15th.

The Thursday vets event only attracted a small field but Mike Petrov had a good score to clearly win the day. Mike had 40 points with Ian Duncan 36 taking second spot and Jack Mitchell 34 was next best.

I should mention that during the month of January Sparra Taggart has been the best golfer in the family, why, because Coleen had knee surgery and has not played. The big bird has been very happy with himself.

Jon Izzard sponsored a 2 man Ambrose on Saturday and it attracted a good field and some good scores were returned. Bruce (The Gnome) McMullen and Cooper Smith were the best with 62.25 nett from Robbie Porter and Tiger Clutterbuck 63.25. Kirin Walters and new member Corey Rose next with 63.5.

NTP winners were NAB 6th Kirin Walters, 9th Barry Cameron, 11th Bruce McMullen, Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th Mitch Hiscox and the Bridges Finance 17th Bruce again.

Quote of the week: “Aim for the Moon, even if you miss you will land amongst the stars.”

Good Golfing
