Last Wednesday only a small field hit off but the scores were pretty good especially by Tony Duff who had 41 to be a clear winner from the consistent Ross Anderson, 39 and the back in form Les (I’m in a hurry) Forde 37.
Ross Anderson also won the NTP and Richard Cannon would have had the orange ball for next week but as he is off to Croatia for 6 weeks I guess the next worse score gets the orange ball. That person is Tiger Clutterbuck.
Just 4 or 5 weeks ago Bronnie Wilson told me she was going to give the stupid game away as she felt she could no longer compete, but guess what since then she has won three times the latest being last Thursday in the weekly Veteran’s day, Bronnie had 37 points to narrowly beat Crewy Cameron 36, and Mike Petrov 35. Ian Duncan again won the NTP on the 15th.
There was no weekend play at the Uralla Golf Club on the weekend but next week I am sure things will get back to normal now that the local football team have been eliminated.
Next Saturday it is the first round of the 4 Ball championships with the second round to be played on September 8th.
Quote of the week: “One person tells a falsehood, a hundred repeat it as true.”
