The course played a little harder last Wednesday as the best score of the day was only 37 points, a lot less than it has been in recent weeks. The winner was Tony (Popeye) Whiting from three other players all returning 36 points, Neil Free,Ted Redden and Chickie Chappell with Freeza getting the nod after the countback. That orange ball must have helped him this week
Ross Anderson won the right to play the orange ball next week with a big 20 points. Ross’s mind was obviously somewhere else. Geoff Wood won the NTP.
At last we have had a lady winner in the Thursday vet’s competition and it was the OLD GIRL herself, Lil Faulkner who had 40 points to be a clear winner over John Holthouse, 35 and Kevin Ward 34. Congratulations Lil it is good to see and now maybe you will stop pestering me for a few shots back. Next thing you will be breaking your age.
Colleen Taggart 6th and Les Forde 15th were the NTP winners.
Saturday and Simon Sanderson was the sponsor for a 4 BBB stableford with an individual in conjunction, and good scores were the order of the day.
