The 100 year celebration weekend was a huge success with visitors coming from near and far. The weekend was sponsored by Les Forde and John and Bronnie Wilson and their support is much appreciated.
The major winners were Phil Robinson, (Armidale,) from locals Todd Jacobs and Sam Smith whilst the daily winners included Virginia Vale,(Armidale) Roger Grills (Guyra,) Ross Schalk (Sawtell) Aoife O’Nolan, Corey Rose and Vern Christensen (Boonah)
The NTP winners are too numerous to mention but overall the whole weekend was enjoyed by all. The Saturday night dinner was also very successful. Other minor prize winners were the big bird himself, Sparra Taggart, Kirin Walters and Darrell Carson.
The very welcome rain will see a great improvement in the course and we are hoping that we get plenty of follow up over the next week or so.
Neil Free won again last Wednesday, this time with 38 points and only after a countback with Herb McMillan and Robbie Porter. Tony Duff won the NTP on the 3rd. Wednesday golf seems to be getting more and more popular so if you fancy a game come and join us, just be registered by 10:00 am.
The Thursday attracted a good field and the winning score was very good. Aoife O’Nolan was a clear winner with 43 points and yes you guessed it Les (I’m in a hurry) Forde smashed his age to have 39 points and claim second spot.
