The course is finally getting on top of most of the players and average scores are getting amongst the prizes. On Wednesday Tiger Clutterbuck had 34 but that was good enough to win the day. Well done Tiger. Tiger relegated the consistent Jason Brady to second spot again this time after a countback with Trevor Carson and Tony Park.
The Thursday vets saw the women dominate the day with Noelene Porter taking first place (29 points) from Margaret Macready 28. Best of the men was Mike Petrov with 37.
The best Saturday field for some time hit off for a club trophy and visitor Donna Reeves with 38 points was a clear winner. Congratulations Donna and no doubt Steve (Bishop) will want to claim some of the credit but I believe you skill comes from your bloodlines.
Duncan McLean 35 was next best and Barry Cameron 34 finished 3rd.
NTP winners were RAB 3rd Shane Barraclough, NAB 6th Dactyl Carlon, 11th and Rob Brown’s Denture Clinic 15th both to Steve Bishop and the accurate Crewy Cameron took the Bridges Finance 17th. (He made the 2 as well). Neil Free won the mars bar.
I have it on good authority that Neil (Freeza) tried to claim the NTP on the 9th, the only trouble was he had hit from the 10th tee and for those of you who don’t know the course the 10th tee is only about 15 metres from the 9th green. That’s a bit rude Freeza trying to collect a couple of balls for that shot.
Don’t forget that our club championships will be held over the weekends of March 7/8 and March 14/15. A nomination sheet is on the board and it would be great to see strong fields take part.
