Wednesday last week saw the best ever field hit off when he locals were joined by 14 visitors. Local player Rowan Chandler was the winner with a solid 39 points from another local Don Plummer 38 and the inform Jason Brady, 37. Best visitor was Trevor Hazlewood who was counted out of third spot by Jason Brady. John (The Cocky Hater) Holman will play with the Orange ball next time.
The Thursday veterans attracted a good field and it was the Cocky Hater’s wife Vicki who won with Noelene Porter and Mike Petrov filling the minor placings.
The Wednesday Wacker’s sponsored a 4BBB stableford on Saturday and another good field hit off. Sisters Noelene Porter and Vicki Barraclough with 46 points were narrow winners over Robbie Porter and Ian Bohn (Gailes Golf Club) with 45 were next best after a three way countback with Shane Barraclough and K Mart Northam and Kim Burraston and Mike Petrov.
NTP winners on the day were, RAB 3rd Robbie Porter, NAB 6th Bruce The Gnome, 9th Neil Free, 11th Charlie Murray, Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th Duncan McLean and Caption Jon Izzard the Bridges Finance 17th.
Saturday night saw a lot of the club members and volunteers assemble at the clubhouse for a Bar B Q dinner and some refreshment as a means of saying thank you to ever body who have contributed so much to keep this club going during the tough times. This club would not survive without the ongoing support of the fabulous band of volunteers and on behalf of the board I say thank you for a job well done
