International traveler Trevor (Fairweather) Wilson returned home and scorched the field with a sensational 42 points to be a clear winner. Tiger Clutterbuck let the handbrake off and had 39 to claim second spot. Ross Anderson was next best with 38.
NTP winner was Don Plummer on the 15th and Neil Free will play with the orange ball next Wednesday.
Some pretty ordinary weather reduced the vet’s field on Thursday but a few hardy souls turned up and it was John (the Cocky Hater) Holman that won the day from Tony Johnson and Popeye Whiting won the NTP on the 9th. The three lady starters showed some good sense and did not complete the course.
Saturday’s better weather attracted a good field and Captain Jon Izzard managed a win with an honest 36 points but only after a countback with Robbie Porter. (I hope someone other than Jon checked the countback). Next best was Ross Anderson 35 and Splitpin Cullen 24. Mary Duff was the best of the ladies.
NTP winners were, RAB 3rd Mary Dufty, NAB 6th Jon Izzard, 9th Robbie Porter, 11th and Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th both to Tiger Clutterbuck and Tony Duff won the Bridges Finance 17th.
Next Saturday will be a stroke round for the Guzzlers Mug sponsored by Geoff Wood. Recent rain has helped the course and I am sure it will continue to improve and the greens are now starting to recover from their coring so organize yourself and come on out to one of Uralla’s best assets.
