Chalkie Chandler returned from a cricket tour of North Queensland which must have improved his golf as he had 36 points which was good enough to count out Darrell Carson and take the major prize. Robbie Porter managed to win the NTP on the 15th and Peter Dixon will use the orange ball next week.
You will remember last week I mentioned Trevor Wilson looking for his club and was looking in the wrong bag well he went one better this week. After finishing the 3rd hole he couldn’t find his ball so got a new one out of a box and suddenly realised he had it in his pocket.
Bronnie Wilson won for the second time in recent weeks when her 38 points was good enough to count out both Albert Egli and Les (I’m in a hurry) Forde in the Thursday Veterans competition. Albert also cleaned up with the NTP’s.
The 38 points foe Les is also a return to some form after a few lean scores of late, so welcome back Les.
Well the Thursday warm up for Les certainly worked as he came out on Saturday and blitzed the field, smashing his age with his 40 points. Congratulations old fella good to see you back in form. Next best was Darrell Carson 37 after a countback with Peter Richardson. Ross Anderson was next with 36.
NTP winners were; RAB 3rd Ross Anderson, NAB 6th K Walters, 9th Troy Dawson,11th and Bridges Finance 15th both to Aaron Wackett. Neil Cullen won the Rob Brown Denture Clinic 17th.
Next week Saturday sees the Guzzlers Mug up for grabs so it should attract a good field.
