A beautiful New England Autumn day greeted a strong field for the Wednesday golf last week and the scores continue to be very goods as well. This time it was Jim Walkinshaw with 42 points that cleaned up but only after a countback with Peter Dixon. Dan Riley was next best with 39. Well done fellas and Dicko proves there is still a bit of fight in the old dog yet.
Now over the years I have heard of players turning up to golf and leaving their, shoes, hat or some other article at home but Michael (Russell Crow) Petrov takes the cake after last Thursday’s vets event. After the draw and everything was done we all went out to play and RUSSELL couldn’t find his clubs. Yes you guessed it he had left them at home. I think he might be in need of a holiday.
The winner on Thursday was Phillip Kelly, his first ever win, so congratulations Phillip. Phillip had 40 points to count out Tony Johnson and the Big Bird Sparra Taggart. Bob Brown had 39 to be next best and to cap off a good day Phillip also won the NTP.
Another beautiful day in the New England saw a good field hit off in the Saturday event sponsored by McRae’s Bus Services and Coleen Taggart very quickly confirmed she is the best golfer in the family and was the easiest of winners on the day with 47 points. Ross Anderson, who was desperate to win the event, managed second spot with 42. Other good scores were Crewy Cameron, 41 and Peter Dixon 40.
NTP winners were NAB 6th Geoff Wood and Dactyl Carlon won the Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th and the Bridges Finance 17th.
