A great spring day attracted a good field last Wednesday and it was Armidale visitor Nick Crowley that won the day. Nick had a solid 39 points to relegate Don Plummer into second spot with 37. Robbie Porter claimed third spot with 36.
Trevor Wilson finished with the right to use the orange ball next week but as he will be visiting New Zealand for a few weeks Peter Dixon will probably claim it as he returned the second worse score.
The continuing spring weather saw another good field play in the Thursday vet’s competition and it took a three way countback to find a winner, which turned out to be Jack Mitchell, from Ron Chappell and Colleen Taggart all who had 38 points. Mike Petrov was next best with 37.
Jack made it a more successful day by claiming the NTP on the 15th.
The best Saturday field for some time hit off on Saturday playing for the Noelene Porter trophy and it was new member Derek Purdy who claimed his first individual win with a solid 39 points. Derek has been knocking on the door since he started so well done to you Derek. Brighton Lakes visitor Geoff Burgess was second after a countback with Derek and Vicki Barraclough flying the flag for the ladies was next best with 38.
NTP winners were RAB 3rd and Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th both to Bruce (The Gnome) McMullen, Hobbit Hyde the NAB 6th. Andrew Mellor 9th, Geoff Burgess 11th and Aaron Whackett took the Bridges Finance 17th.
