Darrell’s weekly wrap 14/11/2020
Wednesday saw a good field hit off and kit was Murray Kennedy who finally won an event. Murray has been slowly but surely getting closer and last week had a very impressive 43 points to be a clear winner. Last Saturday’s winner Jason Brady took second spot with 38 and Robbie Porter 37 was next best. Todd Jacobs was the NTP winner on 11th.
The Thursday vets decided to hold a two person ambrose last week and the winners were Vicki Holman and the Big Bird Sparra Taggart with 65.5 nett. Next best was Darrell Carson and Lismore visitor, Frank Reading, with 66 nett. Marj Chappell won the NTP on the 17th.
Peter Richardson was the sponsor for Saturday’s stableford and the scores were very good again. Marj Chappell who has been in good form of late had her best round ever and returned 43 points. Marj claimed first spot from Troy Dawson (Bundarra) 42 and Darrell Carson was next best with 41. Vicki Barraclough had 40 as well so good scores were needed to get among the ball winners.
NTP winners were, RAB 3rd Jon Izzard, NAB 6th Coleen Taggart, 9th and Rob Browne’s Denture Clinic 15th both to Duncan McLean and Tim Beaumont won the Bridges Finance 17th.
Next Saturday the Wednesday Wacker’s will sponsor a 4BBB so find yourself a partner and get out there among the prizes. Don’t forget the open Weekend is the following weekend and nominations are coming in at a good rate so get your name down sooner rather than later.
