The Wednesday Wacker’s again attracted a good field and this time is was a visitor from Tully Park, Tom Clifford, who had 43 points and was a clear winner on the day. Tom a regular visitor to these parts has won here before so he obviously likes Uralla.
Tiger Clutterbuck took second spot with 41, obviously he had no idea that Tom was firing otherwise I think he would not have returned that score. It is bad luck to have 41 and get beat. Neil Cullen was third with 36, whilst NTP winner was Neil Free on the 9th.
Thursday veteran’s also attracted their best field in some time and it was the inform Mary Dufty who made it two wins in a row, Mary’s 38 points counted out Coleen Taggart. The big bird had a little return to form and had 36.
NTP winners were 3rd Mary Dufty, 9th Coleen Taggart and the 17th John Holthouse.
Duncan McLean and Carol Shields were the sponsors for an individual stableford on Saturday and despite it being a cold and ordinary day a good field hit off.
Jason Brady who has been knocking on the door finally broke throw for a win, Jason had 39 points to claim the major prize. Tim Bower 36 after a countback with Sam Smith took second spot.
NTP winners were, RAB 3rd Sparra Taggart, NAB 6th Sam Smith, Rob Brown’s Denture Clinic 15th Jason Brady and Bridges Finance 17th Dactyl Carlon. Vicki Barraclough managed to claim the Mars Bar but only after a couple of players with lower score had left the club house before presentation.
Another reminder about the Baby Boomers show on November 2nd. If you intend to come, and a great night is guaranteed, please book your seats with Amy at the club ASAP. We need the numbers to cover our costs. If we can give the caterers an indication as well would be helpful. Meals will be available from 6pm until show time at 7.30. There will also be a courtesy bus available to take you home.
