Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 12/05/2019

Another good field hit off on Wednesday and the very consistent Robbie Porter won with 40 points. I understand that was a one over par round which followed up a recent level par round so well done Robbie keep up the good work. The inform Ross Anderson finished second with 39 and Jim Walkinshaw was third with 37 after a countback with Dan Riley.

Gary Mackaway won the NTP on the 6th and Jason Brady went from having 43 points last week to 23 this week and he will play with the orange ball next Wednesday.

The Thursday vet’s competition also attracted their best field in a long time and it was Coleen Taggart, 43 points who won and relegated husband Doug to second spot with 39 and John (The Cocky Hater) Holman counted out Phillip Kelly for third with 38.

NTP winners were Bob Brown on the 6th and John Holman on the 11th.

Coleen recently had a knee replacement and for a few months Doug was able to claim that he was the best golfer in the Taggart family but after a fairly quick recovery Coleen has obviously reclaimed that title.

The cold and slightly dam weather on Saturday meant that no golf was played so once again this will be a short report. There seems to be some confusion as to what is on next Saturday but I am sure Captain Jon will let us know through the week.

Quote of the week: “If there is no light at the end of the tunnel go light it.”

Good Golfing.
