Barry Cameron had a brief return to form last Wednesday and his 37 points was good enough to claim the major prize. The consistent Jason Brady finished second again, this with 36 and counting out Duncan Arthur. Great to see Duncan have a good score. Dom Bower won the NTP.
The Thursday veteran’s event attracted a small field and it was Geoff Leedham with 35 that won the day. Mike Petrov finished second again, with 34. Nobody managed to win the NTP.
The Geoff Wood sponsored Monthly Guzzler’s Mug on Saturday attracted a good field and the day saw another player return to form. Shane Barraclough had 67 nett to be a clear winner from Sponsor Geoff Wood, 69 and Chalkie Chandler 71 was third.
I don’t have all the NTP winners but I understand that the RAB 3rd was not won, NAB 6th Tim Bower, maybe the 11th and 9th were not won and the Rob Brown Denture Clinic 15th went to Chalkie Chandler and the Bridges Finance 17th to Robbie Porter.
The course continues to be the winner at the moment with most golfers struggling with the grass growth and the lack of run on the course. My old mate Les (I’m in a hurry) Forde is struggling to get his usual age breaking scores at the moment. Not to worry Les things will no doubt dry out again and a good score is just around the corner I am sure.
