The Wednesday Wackers got back into action this week after a couple of off weeks for one reason or another and the winner was Tony Duff with 38 points from Don Plummer 35 whilst the Orange Ball went to John (The Cocky Hater) Holman. John was having his first game back after travelling the countryside for the past 4 months or so.
The Thursday vet’s comp got back underway last week and a good field hit off, with this week the men dominating the results. Tony (Popeye) Whiting won from John Holthouse and Herb McMillan. No body managed to hit the NTP.
Neil Bullen and Charlie Murray are the Uralla 4 ball champions after the completion of the second and final round last Saturday. They finished one over par to be clear winners. In the nett event the winners were Jon Izzard and Tiger Clutterbuck with a total of 89 stableford points. Well done fellas and congratulations to you all.
In the vent of the day Jon and Tiger also won that with 45 stableford points from Peter Richardson and Derek Purdy, 44 with Robbie Porter and Tony Duff finishing 3rd with 42.
NTP winners were RAB 3rd Neil Bullen, 9th Robbie Porter, 11th Charlie Murray, Rob Brown’s Denture Clinic 15th Tiger Clutterbuck and the Bridges Finance 17th Peter Richardson.
The program tells me that Noelene Porter is the sponsor for next Saturday’s golf and the event will be a single stableford.
Quote of the week: “Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.”
