Darrell’s Weekly Wrap 05/12/2020
The Wednesday Wackers held their Xmas day last Wednesday and as a result I do not have any golf results. We had 29 players play in a cross country 12 hole event. An Ambrose was played but I don’t have any results. Suffice to say that the steak and prawns were sensational and a good fun day was had by all.
The Thursday veterans only attracted a small field on Thursday as several of our players travelled to Walcha for the annual Xmas 4Ball. Michael Welbourn won the local event with 35 points from Noelene Porter and Marj Chappell.
Mark & Deli Faulkner were the very generous sponsors for Saturday’s 4 BBB stableford. Chalkie Chandler and Graeme Andrews managed to score 4 points on the last hole to have 47 points and narrowly beat Marj Chappell and Aoife O’Nolan, 46. Marj and Aoife were in front all day until the last hole. Three other combinations had 43 including sponsors Mark & Deli Faulkner, Todd Jacobs & Bruce McMullen as well Carol Shields & Mike Petrov.
There was a section for non-golfers and I am not sure who actually won but suffice to say that every player gone a prize of some sort.
A reminder that twilight golf finishes on Friday 18th December and will resume again in late January I believe.
