A reasonable sized field played last Wednesday and it was Murray Kennedy from Armidale who won with 38 points after a countback with Jim Walkinshaw. Trevor Carson was next best with 37 after another countback with Richard Cannon. Neil Free should play with the orange ball next week.
Only a small field played in the Vet’s stableford last Thursday and it was the consistent Mike Petrov claiming first spot with 36 points. Bronwyn Wilson was second with 35 and Albert Egli third with 34. Nobody managed to hit the 17th green to claim the NTP.
Saturday we were supposed to play the Guzzler’s Mug, sponsored each month by Geoff Wood, but I am pleased to say that we were washed out. Some heavy showers came across the course after we had played only about 9 holes. What a pleasure it was and never have I been so happy about getting wet on the course.
Unfortunately it was not drought breaking rain but at least a step in the right direction.
Quote of the week. ”If you lend someone $20 and never see them again it was probably worth it.”
