Carol’s Weekly Wrap 9/2/25
Wednesday Whackers played a single stableford and the winner was Trevor Carson with 37pts on a c/b from David “Oscar” Ayre. The encouragement award went to Michael Welbourn.
Thursday was the 2nd Rd of the Vets Pennants and the A-Grade Men’s winner was David Sweeney from Walcha with 37pts, r/up was Rowan Chandler. B-Grade Tim Bower from Uralla with 38pts, r/up was Greg Constantine with 36pts. C-Grade Len Stanley from Guyra with 37pts, r/up was Tony Swilks from Uralla with 36pts. The Ladies A-grade winner was Jenny Lisle with 34pts, r/up was Kate Dugdale from Armidale with 33pts. B-Grade was Belinda Lenehan from Guyra with 34pts on a c/b from Sue Partridge from Walcha. The winners on the day were Uralla with 239, Glen Innes 221, Walcha 235, Guyra 230 and Armidale 222.
Saturday was a BAM sponsored by Marj Chappell and Family, the winners with 62 was David Ayre and Greg LeMessurier. Sorry can’t remember the other winners but it was a good fun day, and this wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for Marj and Kylie holding this annual event in the honour of the Late Chickie Chappell..(Cheers Chickie)..
Twilight golfers please play off the same handicap as last week as I am away again until next week.
Also, on Thursday nights the kitchen does a curry night with different dishes each week. You can also order of the menu if you don’t want curries.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday and Saturday Comps. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
AS WE ARE HAVING MORE PLAYERS AND SOCIAL PLAYERS ON OUR COURSE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE A SAND BUCKET WITH YOU AND FILL IN ANY DIVOTS ON THE FAIWAYS AND FIX PLUG MARKS ON THE GREENS. ALSO IF YOU ARE A SOCIAL PLAYER, PLEASE PLAY OFF THE BLUE MARKERS AS THE DAMAGE ON THE LADIES TEES IS UNACCEPTABLE.
The Kitchen is now open 7 days a week, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pickups and drop offs, contact the club for details.

Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday afternoon. Joker Jackpot is on Friday night.
