Carol’s Weekly Wrap 5/10/25
Well, what a roller coaster ride it’s been these last 4 months. I have been away and there hasn’t been much golf played due to the extreme weather. Let’s hope things settle down now.
Just a few missed events that I should mention.
The men’s Keno qualifier winners were Jayson Ketley and Jon Izzard. The mixed were Anthony Connors and Marj Chappell. Good luck in the finals.
Ladies Graham Betts Final held on 31/8/25 at Uralla A-Grade winner was Amanda Carr from Armidale, B-Grade winner was Margaret Macready from Uralla. If I have missed anyone I’m sorry as I don’t have all results.
Ladies NEDGA 4BBB held on 2/9/25, the winners of the Win Fayle Rose Bowl 18-hole nett were Marj Chappell and Margaret Macready with 44pts and the winners of the Veterans 18 hole nett Marie Trim Trophy were Colleen Taggart and Vicki Barraclough with 41pts on a c/b. 18 hole nett r/up were Susie Spenser and Marlene McLeod with 44 on a c/cb.18 hole nett veterans winners were Penny King and Polly Locke, 18 hole gross winners were Amanda Carr and Liz O’Hara, r/up 18hole gross were Helene Dawson and Terry Wright.
Wednesday and Thursday’s games were played, but with the new golf system underway there were no results online, so no results from me.
Saturday was a single stableford and the winner with 42pts was Will Archdale, r/up with 39pts was Jon Izzard. The Mars Bar Award went to Dean Vickery.
I would like to inform you all also that I have stepped down from doing the twilight competition, I have enjoyed doing the past 7rs but it’s time to pass it on. For more information on this year’s event please see Ben at the bar.
Thursday nights the kitchen does a curry night with different dishes each week. You can also order of the menu if you don’t want curries.
Our golf competition fees are now $20.00 per comp round. Wednesday Whackers, Thursday and Saturday Comps. All our golf times are 9.30am for 10am tee off. Any special events, cost will be advertised on all flyers.
AS WE ARE HAVING MORE PLAYERS AND SOCIAL PLAYERS ON OUR COURSE. PLEASE REMEMBER TO TAKE A SAND BUCKET WITH YOU AND FILL IN ANY DIVOTS ON THE FAIWAYS AND FIX PLUG MARKS ON THE GREENS. ALSO, IF YOU ARE A SOCIAL PLAYER, PLEASE PLAY OFF THE BLUE MARKERS.
The Kitchen is open 7 days a week, 12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 8pm. Take aways are also available.
Our Courtesy Bus is available for pickups and drop offs, contact the club for details.
The club house is now open 7 days a week.
Raffles are onFriday nights and Sunday afternoon. Joker Jackpot is on Friday night.
