Carol’s Weekly Wrap 22/5/22
Wednesday Whackers played a 3 club challenge sponsored by Graeme Andrews, and it wasn’t that easy for some. Graeme had 41pts but couldn’t win his own trophy so the winner with 38pts was Carol Shields on a c/b from Bruce McMullen. Who says you need 12 cubs to play a good game…
Thursday the Vets held the final round of pennants at Uralla, we had a large field of 92 players and some good results in for the day. Lady winner was Wendy Jackson from Guyra with 39pts, r/up was Vicki Barraclough from Uralla with 37pts and 3rd was Coleen Taggart from Uralla with 32pts on a c/b from Sue Partridge from Walcha.
Men’s winner in A-Grade was Barry (Crewy) Cameron from Uralla with 37pts, r/up was Lee Fletcher with 36pts on a c/b from Gregory McLaren from Glen Innes. Men’s B-Grade winner was Paul Greenwood from Armidale with 36pts, r/up was Glen Fairclough from Glen Innes with 35pts. C-Grade winner with a massive 49pts was Jeff Etheridge from Walcha r\up was James Betts from Guyra with 27pts, that’s a 22 point difference. I have to say Jeff lost 7 shots off his handicap.
The overall winners in the Pennants were Guyra with a total of 1206, 2nd was Walcha with 1163, 3rd was Armidale with 1096, 4th was Uralla with 1094 and 5th was Glen Innes with 1020.
